I live in the Catskills region of New York with my husband, two boys, two black cats, and three buff orpington hens. The area reminds me of Rip Van Winkle.

I love quilting, knitting (ravelry link), cross-stitch, card making -- really just about any kind of hand craft. My goal for the near future is to sew clothing but I've not yet got over the fear of cutting the fabric and having the garment not fit (I prefer knitting where I can just unravel and try again or quilting where the seams are usually much smaller and more geometric!)

Favorite quilty things (swap info):

bright colors mixed with neutrals, small pieces / miniatures, what I like to call "unfussy fussy cutting" where an image is cut off at the edge, red-and-white (together), soft colors, geometric patterns, green, blue-green, turquoise, grey, peachy-pink, indigo, antiques, linen, gingham, crocheted lace, texty fabric, stripes, dots

I've decided to do an Everything but the Kitchen Sink Quilt in Bella Solids Jade, Grey, Texty Prints, White, and a few bits of French blue, dark pink and light orange. I'm not talking about the actual "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" pattern but just a quilt made up of lots of random bits and pieces. My photoset of ideas is here. Just in case any swap partners feel like contributing a small block. . .
