I'm al'n4grlz, that is Alan with 4 girls... my three daughters plus my wife. I'm totally outnumbered!! They used to all be more manageable, but it's getting tough now that they are almost all teens. What's a guy to do??

Let's see, when I first met my wife she had on an Amy Grant t-shirt and was making a pathetic attempt at playing volleyball. She was cute though, as she dove to get out of the way of an incoming serve. I thought I could teach her a thing or two about sports. Wrong! We have virtually nothing in common, yet we are still best friends. I like skiing, hiking, running, and she likes... shopping and yakking with friends. OK, maybe I'm going a little too far. We do both like a strong cup of coffee, listening to KJ52, and watching Grey's Anatomy (as well as sappy chick flicks.) Oh yeah, and we do have those three kids in common. The first two are turning out much like my wife. I like them a lot but they frequently drive me crazy with their illogical ramblings and idiotic pals. However, the youngest one has actually shown an interest in sports. There's hope! But camping around Mt. Rainier or in the Olympic mountains seems out of the question since that involves dirt, bugs, and the like. What a bummer.

My Flickr activity is a bit slow now. My oldest has braces, my others flash a fake smile whenever they see me with a camera, and my wife says she has to lose 10 pounds. I'm in need of more models. Hmmm, maybe my dog Gyver.
