Well my name is Mark and I currently live in Sunderland, Tyne And Wear (although my background is mainly Newcastle orientated).

I started shooting with a Samsung Compact Camera and rapidly ventured into the DSLR Market which I started off with Canon 400d. This was changed quickly as my father then bought a Nikon D40 and the results he was achieving was significantly superior to the Canon...I therefore changed to the Nikon system, resulting in the D80 being my choice.

After realising Landscape photography is my genre, since June 2009 I have been shooting with a Nikon D90 and FujiFilm EX200 EXR compact and I gave my father the D80 which he now shoots with.

Deciding to take my photography to the next level, late May 2010 I started my business, simply named "Mark Bain Photography" as it coinsides with my Flickr name which prodiminately covers my landscape and macro works.

My current set up is:

Nikkor 50mm 1.8

Tamron 17-50 2.8

Sigma 10-20

Sigma 105 2.8 Macro

Anyway, hope you enjoy my photography and please feel free to leave constructive criticism.

Best regards

Mark

Mark's passion for photography and his determination to get the perfect shot is the first thing you notice about him, but this is combined with a selfless personality - he has no problems helping others to ensure that their shots are as good as possible too. Although he knows the correct terms for things, he is very good at speaking in "Twiddly-bits" and "doo-dah" language for those of us who are less technically inclined (like me!). He's a good bloke to have on an outing - a good sense of humour, plenty of ideas for a shot and a helpful nature means you'll never find yourself standing, camera in hand, like a plank trying to figure out what to do next!
