La fotografia di Nicola è qualcosa con cui ho stabilito, dentro di me, un grande feeling. Sin da subito le sue immagini han catturato la mia attenzione perchè usa un linguaggio che mi arriva immediato e che comunica in profondità: la bellezza del paesaggio. Riesce a ritrarre qualunque posto si trovi di fronte, ma specialmente quello che sente dentro maggiormente, come il centro Italia, con un tocco lieve, con un'immensa passione, con un trasporto emozionale che travolge chiunque guardi le sue fotografie. I suoi panorami levano il respiro per quanto incantato stupore riescono a suscitare. Spazi aperti e morbidi, luci perfettamente dosate per amplificare l'emozione e valorizzare i luoghi che ritrae, colore che si espande con una mano delicata e sapiente fino a commuovere. C'è sempre una nota piena di dolcezza nei suoi paesaggi che culla leggera lo sguardo e travolge ogni possibile resistenza razionale della mente. Il colore gioca un ruolo fondamentale nelle sue immagini, ma lui lo usa con leggerezza, enfatizzando solo quel tanto che serve a restituire un'immagine che trasmetta integralmente non solo la bellezza del luogo, ma proprio la bellezza che lui stesso ha nell'animo. Ma °fotobicchio° non è solo paesaggio ma anche "persone", un'umanità spontanea, mai eccessiva, sempre fortemente comunicativa che lui riesce a ritrarre con semplicità, con naturalezza e con estrema bellezza. Le fotografie dei suoi bambini sono un tripudio di dolcezza e di tenerezza. Immagini che colpiscono per l'intensità dei soggetti ma soprattutto per la profondità dei sentimenti di questo fotografo.
