As the old hymn says, I'm "prone to wander," and when I wander, I take pictures mostly of old buildings, abandoned buildings, little details, the areas behind buildings, and a few new architectural creations that I like (there are a few). For some reason, while I didn't start out liking the Modern style of architecture, the more I got into architectural photography, the more I found to love it, so I notice that my photostream has more 20th-century buildings than I would have guessed. I also find beauty in creation, so I throw in a few pictures of my yard and dog.
Mississippi has lots of days with beautiful light, so I try to take advantage of that as much as possible. The play of light and shadow on architecture is always fascinating to me. When I'm in-state, I usually have a Nikon D-80, which is a great camera--love, love, love it. I also do a little traveling outside the boundaries of MS--when I do, I use my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5, which is a nice little compact camera with a huge zoom and good resolution.
