Over half a century wandering the planet, though not as extensively as I would like. Grew up in England, live in SW Ontario. Used to take lots of pictures with an old OM1, which I still have and love, when my daughter took up flying it quickly became apparent that I needed to move to digital! It wouldn't make sense to learn aerial photography with film.

Having loads of fun with it, though feel pretty useless compared with a lot of what I see here. And thankfully a bit better than some of it.

Because the old OM1 is so good, and because it had some very good write ups, I purchased an Olympus e510 with 14-42 and 40-150 lenses. Basic starter stuff I know, at the moment the gear is better than me though.

Update April2009; and this seems to be a recurring theme on flickr, I now have a nice shiny 70-300 lens!
