Eden became interested in photography at the age of 13 after taking a class on it in middle school. Her father gave her his old Canon FTB with a 50 mm lens to use. After years of taking pictures of friends and family, Eden decided to go to the University of Washington in Seattle to pursue a degree in fine art and photography. Her thesis show in 1998 was a series of underwater images depicting abstracted people and plants floating about. Most of her work at that point was very dark and mysterious.
Upon moving to San Francisco after college, she began showing in galleries and working on commission for magazines. Eden had already figured out that travel and personal relationships were exhilarating, driving forces in life and in her work.
Now Eden is based in Los Angeles, and these themes still hold true for her work.
