Hershey Community Archives is the primary source for learning about Milton Hershey, his vision, his legacy and the community that bears his name. The Archives exists to collect, preserve and make available papers, records and other materials documenting the history and development of the Hershey, Pennsylvania community.
Our holdings include the records of The Hershey Company (including Hershey Chocolate and its subsidiaries), Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company (including Hersheypark, Hotel Hershey and an array of supporting service businesses), Hershey Trust Company, The M.S. Hershey Foundation and records documenting the growth and development of Hershey, a planned model industrial town (1903).
The Archives has an extensive collection (20,000+ images) of photographs that illustrate all aspects of Hershey’s past. The Archives sells copy prints of the photographs for private and limited commercial use including public display and illustrations in publications. Please contact the Archives for more information.
The Archives runs an ongoing oral history program conducting interviews with members of Hershey’s corporate and local communities. The oral history collection contains more than 300 interviews conducted with executives, workers, community leaders, educators and residents.
