A weather hound on Vancouver Island BC, Canada. While I'm currently in Victoria, I was born in England, moved here when I was 7, moved further up Island to Courteny just out of university where I got to visit many a beautiful place place through my work - all over north vancouver island, powell river, and the coastal mountains, rivers inlet, Bute Inlet, Phillips Arm etc etc
I also had a brief stint in Indianapolis in between. My brief window into the fury and beauty of mother nature - the thunderstorms were incredible and I wish I had the opportunity to capture on film (no control with shutter speed - whoops). Unfortunately, those are now far and few between here, but I still get an opportunity once in a while to get a nice pic. What you see is what you get - no manipulation, no high powered camera. I started out digital with a lowly 1.8mp HP and actually produced one of my favorite pictures from it. Had a Kodak Easyshare C7330 for the longest stint and ONLY just broke down for a slightly better one with a Canon Powershot S3 IS....still far from superior, but at least I now have the flexibility to experiment and no longer point and click on auto! Hope you enjoy - seems to run in the family the love of photography, but sometimes it's just being in the right place at the right time.
