I started taking B&W pics in the 7th grade & developing them in the school darkroom, with a buncha other nerds (the term "Nerd" hadn't been coined yet, I guess that kinda dates me, LOL).

We got our first digital camera 10-12 years ago, a nice bulky Sony Mavica. It took "great" 20-30kb photos & "only" took 5-10 seconds to write each pic to floppy disk, LOL. That didn't hold us back from taking lots of pics, we lugged home over 100 disks from our first vacation with it.

We go to a LOT of concerts (we're bluegrass & country music fans). We got a new Z740 a couple of years ago but really want to move into the SLR world because of the lighting problems that plague the concerts that we go to.

All of the free time before the shows start & between acts has made us people watchers. Drunks are kinda funny to watch sometimes, but they are seldom very photogenic. Kids however, are always delightful subjects. They live in their own carefree little world, which can sometimes be caught by the camera.
