In 2001, I drew a couple of GI Joe pictures and posted them on my art site, which had no fan art on it. In fact, it was a rather "gothy" site, so the sudden appearance of GI Joe fan art came as quite a surprise to the three people that watched my site.

When my new site got posted in college, I had begun to draw even more Joe art. And then I had the idea to draw every single Joe out there. Maybe not every version of every Joe, but at least one version of each. Now many of these drawings were crap (and much of what I even felt was decent enough to post here is crap), but after a year or so of work, I drew them all! Since then I never stopped drawing Joes. I have many series I enjoy, but GI Joe tops them all.

During that time, I got a couple links from various GI Joe sites. It was quite exciting, especially when I saw myself linked on YoJoe.com! My fifteen minutes of fame, and I'll never forget how great it felt.
