My love for textiles began at an early age, when I would frequent her grandparent’s upholstery shop, and leave with arms full of fabric remnants. With the aid of an embroidery kit, I taught myself to embroider at the age of 10 and was designing by the age of 12 (throw pillows with my favorite music bands). My interest in art continued throughout school, were I received several awards for judged exhibitions. I went on to receive a degree in Fine Arts, but it wasn’t until several years later that I discovered an interest in the Arts and Crafts style, and became fully emerged in textiles from the period. I began making table linens; and designed stenciled and hand embroidered placemats to match dinnerware from the period. I listed the placemats on an action site, and before long was receiving requests for additional textiles. I then listed an Arts & Crafts runner; the successful bidder upon receiving the runner, commissioned me to create some curtains for a Craftsman home in Pasadena, California; and the rest, they say is history.

About My Work

I focus on the creation of high quality hand-crafted textiles; with an emphasis on original designs. All textiles are made entirely by hand, in simple, uncomplicated forms, in the Arts and Crafts tradition. With an emphasis on bringing the outside in, all of the designs are inspired by nature, and are worked on quality imported, European linen, and in pearl cotton and hand dyed silk threads. My designs can be worked in a multitude of colors to match any interior. I love assisting clients in fulfilling their requirements for custom, one-of-a-kind textiles including needle art.
