I stumbled into Second Life during August 2006 and though I only planned on killing an afternoons boredom here I am six years later still exploring the vast pixel world.

In my First Life I am 42 and I live and work in a small town in the North West of England. My job is as a retail advisor in a well known ladies clothing store-I joined the company in November 2007 after having looked after my ill Mum for the previous eight years. I lost her in August of that year.

In Second Life as in my First I am mortal because believe it or not I rather like being one even in pixels! Petra may look different to the First Life me but in every other way she is me. There is a person behind her and the monitor-sometimes I think people forget that. Cut me and I bleed be it with blade or with words and deeds.

I don't really take photo's but several of my friends do so thought I'd open this account to comment as and when I feel like it on ones they have uploaded. I dabble now and then if a photo is required and I am in the mood to take it and play with it. So you may well see the odd one pop up on here from time to time.
