Spunkycats is my sweet sister. She is such a tenderhearted, loving person, always reaching out to help people and animals. Through the years, her kind heart has led her to adopt many abandoned animals and give them a good, loving home. She says each one is a little jewel, and she truly loves them. You can see this in her photos. Some say you can't tame a feral cat, but she has proved them wrong with her sweet little Fossie. He was an adult feral cat who would creep up and eat food she put out; she caught him in a live trap, brought him inside and gradually taught him to trust her. He is now such a mama's boy--and a good boy! As long as she is with him, he will travel anywhere and be content; he's very well-behaved and obedient. He often follows her like a dog; and at night when her husband is out of the room, he "protects" her when someone comes to the door by getting between her and the door and growling low in his throat! Spunkycats has loving compassion on both animals and people. As a literacy volunteer she has helped people improve their lives by learning to read, and as a little girl would go to visit elderly people in our neighborhood just to cheer them up (her idea--no one suggested it to her). I'm proud to be related to a person like this, and I love her very much!
