Trailnet is a St. Louis based non-profit organization with a 20-year history of Promoting Active Living as a way of life that encourages people to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines.

 

Trailnet’s mission to lead in fostering healthy and active communities through innovative programs, planning, and policy that promote walking and bicycling throughout the St. Louis bi-state region is accomplished through:

 

Programs - Trailnet provides programs and community education that promote physical activity and health including supported bicycle rides and walks, Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and Safe Routes to School, a volunteer-driven program designed to resurrect walking and biking to school

 

Community Planning – Trailnet helps communities design streets, sidewalks and trails where people can walk and bike safely and collaborates on the St. Louis Regional Trail System and The Confluence Partnership

 

Policy Initiatives – Trailnet’s newest initiative, launched in 2007, advocates for policies to create community environments that encourage people to be healthy and active
