Where is my mind?
Unclear that the ambiguity we feel is the clarity we seek , To shed light on the undefinable and inconsistent natures of ourselves, That in this fluid fabric of universal consciousness we all float as one.
Where did the light reach my eyes?
In 2004 I began my 4 year high-school course in film photography. began skipping all my other courses just to spend the whole day in the darkroom. I remember once being taken into the principles office and being lectured about the dangers of leaving the school and simply replying "I don't" and with a puzzled look she said "...but your attendance shows you miss all your classes except for photography, so where do you go?" And I have to say that's when I realized how ridiculous standardized education was. Despite my overwhelmingly poor attendance, I graduated with a full ride and endeavored into applying to the photography program at DSC, I brought my transcripts and my portfolio in and was able to skip the first semester of classes. I was one semester away from graduating and decided to drop out because really this diploma meant nothing to me. I felt a piece of paper was a superficial means of doing things. I wasn't a piece of paper, I was an artist.
Where does the path go?
I work on our farm, shoot lots of film, submit my work to local galleries and enjoy the sunshine!
