The Legal Assistance Centre (LAC) is a a non-profit public interest law centre in Namibia, southern Africa, committed to creating a human rights culture and promoting access to justice in Namibia. The LAC focuses primarily on constitutional and human rights cases that we anticipate will have a broader impact on Namibian society. A part from general human rights cases, the LAC deals with cases involving gender issues, discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS and cases involving land and housing disputes. Further, the organisation also fulfills it human rights mandate through advocacy & lobbying, education & training, research, law reform and legal advice.
