I am a 62 year old, rather overweight, sport loving person. My interests are canal history, local history, writing, model making, sampling real ales and travelling.

I live in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. I have a son, Chris, who is now 28 years old and my best mate and drinking partner.

My ambition is to own a narrowboat and tour the canals of England and Wales before I get too old, but I think that will have to wait for a lottery win.
