I'm in my 40's, married to a wonderful man who doesn't see my doll and book collecting hobbies as strange or annoying. ;-) We have two cats and a daughter.

My favorite dolls are Pullips, Dals, Mod and Superstar Era Barbies. I love garage sales, flea markets, thrift stores, rummage sales, etc. I rescue TLC Barbies and restore, repair, and reroot them. I think my whole Mod Barbie collection probably cost under $100 because I bought all of the dolls at garage sales and flea markets. I also make doll clothes- mostly knitting and crochet, but I'm trying to become more proficient at sewing too.

My favorite genre of books and TV is science fiction, but I also love some fantasy. I mostly read SFF by women authors such as Lois McMaster Bujold, Joan D. Vinge, Catherine Asaro, Sharon Shinn, Sheri S. Tepper, Megan Whalen Turner, Patricia A. McKillip, Tanya Huff, Juliet Marillier, and Julie E. Czerneda. Farscape is my absolute favorite show of all time; I also love Babylon 5 and all of the Star Trek shows, minus Enterprise.

I love electronic music, especially 80's and 90's synth pop, new wave, and dark wave. My favorite bands are Depeche Mode, Recoil, Talk Talk, and Curve.
