It’s not the camera but the person behind the camera. Yes, it’s a cliché but that’s what always comes to my mind when I view Susan’s photo stream. While I believe she could make any camera sing (i.e. light, color, focus, etc.) her compositions are so artistic it wouldn’t surprise me if she were a painter. Her pictures don’t reflect a beginner like she claims on her profile; Susan’s work is intelligent and thoughtful, always showing purpose or a story. She also has a fun sense of humor and I always enjoy the gracious comments she leaves on my photo stream. I even enjoy the comments she leaves on other photographers streams as she truly is one of the more generous people on flickr. If you browse her stream I promise you will enjoy the tour. If her photographs don’t impress you her character will.

I am very glad I came across Susan’s photostream on Flickr ~ I love her pictures! They’re so creative, original, interesting! Susan has a keen artistic eye and can see awesome photo opportunities where most people would miss them. Her abstracts are out of this world – intriguing and beautiful! The colors in her images are always natural looking and gorgeous. Susan also creates amazing B&W photographs ~ it’s wonderful to see the light&shadow play in her images. She composes her pictures extremely well and she is a very versatile artist: nature, architecture, people, it’s all there, all beautifully photographed. I especially love her striking botanical pictures – she captures beautiful natural textures, curves, lines and colors. I find them very inspiring. Susan is also a wonderful Flickr buddy: very kind, helpful and encouraging. I love it when she comments on my pictures – her words are often insightful and always relevant.
