Have been interested in photography as a hobby for, ooh...a long time! Photoshop CS3 sparked me off to try something different. Great for processing to extremes.
I'm no expert, but I try to take shots that don't always follow the rules; you know, thirds and triangles. Something that will, maybe, cause the shot to be unbalanced. Though some shots will verge on the twee, inevitably. Always attempt to balance the shots I upload to try and keep it interesting: for those who view and for me.
Bit of an aging hippy with those same values.
Hope you like what I've done. If you comment on mine I'll comment on yours.
Flickr takes up a fair chunk of time so I try to keep the number of contacts to a minimum. Please don't be offended if I don't always reciprocate the contact request.
I use:
Fuji Finepix S7000 (when I'm at work!)
Nikon D40
18-50mm Nikor lens
50-200mm Nikor lens
ND4 and ND8 filters

Leisure
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?—
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep and cows:
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass:
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night:
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance:
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began?
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
