And my fabric designs are available to buy over at Spoonflower: (Please note, with Spoonflower, you buy the fabrics from that company, not me as an individual. I only get a commission of 10% of the price you pay, and I have no ability to change those prices. Spoonflower are highly reputable and reliable. If you have any problems they are happy to help)
I've been making doll outfits for over 12 years now; not including all the outfits I made when I was aged between about 8 to 14. I'm from an era when girls grew up more slowly! My mother taught me to sew, knit and crochet when I was really young. 5 years old, in an era when mums taught their daughters these things, so it's in my blood now.
I also reroot dolls, make wigs, shoes, and other odds and ends. Some of my work I sell, some of it I can't bear to part with.
Everything I make is stitched by hand. I do own a mini sewing machine, but I'm too damn scared to use it, especially with dolls clothes, I find a sewing machine is too vigorous and distorts the delicate fabrics. Hand sewing gives so much more control and you can ease tiny darts or sleeves more easily.
Before that I had some art and textiles training, so am at least putting it to good use. Everything doll-ish or craft-ish in my Flickr, is designed and made by myself, unless otherwise stated.
I'm into Iplehouse, Soul Doll, and Lutz BJD's, Ellowyne Wilde, and Monster High. I also like making doll outfits for Barbie/Liv size bodies, Pullip and Blythe too.
Also, I make artwork in mixed media occasionally, and I love textiles, crochet, hand dyeing and embroidery.
(Blocking policy) PLEASE NOTE: If someone goes through my photostream just favourite-ing stuff indiscriminately, without even saying hi, or contributing with constructive comments - that makes me feel very uncomfortable and I might block them. Especially if they have no avatar image, or no images whatsoever in their Flickr account.
