I live in one of the hottest parts of Australia and love it ... I don't like the cold! We don't have the usual seasons - we have the Wet and Dry and two very humid seasons on either side of these called the Build Up and the Build Down. Darwin is a long way from any other major cities so it is considered remote, though of course it is not as remote as many other parts of Australia.

I have two lovely grown-up daughters who live and study in other parts of the country. I raised them as a single parent and am very proud of the decent and caring young women they have become.

I have worked in Indigenous Health for quite a few years and am now working as a nurse in an Aboriginal Health Service.

I am quite obsessed with mosaics and don't have any contacts close who share this interest so I am very grateful for the contacts I have made on Flicker.
