I came home late from perhaps the most stressful day of my life at work, the employer of the past 22 years just announced he had sold his business to a competitor, when I looked at Anna's stream I read Life is not about waiting for the storm clouds to clear but learning to dance in the rain, but then it occurred to me that all of her photos capture a glimpse of the reality of life and present it in a beautiful unexpected but delightful refreshing perspective.. thanks for cheering me up and bringing a little encouragement in a fun refreshing view.. am sure to be back tomorrow to see who she is able to discover..

Anna wasn't like the usual electricians with her cowboy bots and tight plaid shirt, ponytail and manicured fingernails. The lights in my bathroom had gone out and I wasn't sure if it was a problem with the switch, or the bulb or the outlet or the actual light itself. I knew having a professional look at it was the right thing to do. Anna came highly recommended and she immediately knew what was wrong. What I was surprised about was how she YELLED at me for having florescent lights in my bathroom. "LOOK at this horrible yellow cast!!" she exclaimed. She installed new CFL lights which dramatically improved the color temperature in the bathroom. I had no idea what she was talking about until I realized the foundation I had been using for years was certainly wrong for my face, which resulted in a horrible string of dates abandoning me mid-date. Now with a more accurate color in my bathroom, and a new foundation, I found the woman of my dreams. One who loved me for who I was, as well as my odd desire for wearing women's makeup. Years later I came to find Anna taking pictures. She was still fanatical about light and it came to her advantage for her portraiture. Her skills with a camera are secondary to her personality and amazing smile. I consider Anna a great friend, even if she scoffs at me using foundation to even out my skin.
