I worked at English Electric Computers, then ICL at Kidsgrove then Fujitsu Manchester as a Computer Design Engineer. After working for ICL and Fujitsu for 35 years, I took voluntary redundancy and an early retirement in 2001. Now busy SKIing (Spending the Kids Inheritance), looking after the grandchildren, and enjoying life whilst we can.

Lived at Congleton, Cheshire and then Glossop, Derbyshire. I have been married since 1972 to my wonderful wife Sandra, and I am very proud to have two grown up sons - Peter, and Jonathan, who both live in York at Fulford and Bishopthorpe. Jonathan married Catherine in 2009 and we now have a grandson Oliver and a granddaughter Millie. Peter married Liz in 2014. Sandra and I moved to live in York in November 2010 to be nearer to the family.

I am interested in Digital Photography, Canal & Railway History, Industrial Archaeology, walking for health, holidays, DIY and gardening, anything practical (to keep the brain active).

Since moving to York I have been involved with The Friends of York Walls group, and look after the FOYW website, taking photographs, and some publicity. I enjoy taking photographs of buildings and landscapes, local events and anything to do with York's heritage. I have been involved in York's Community Theatre scene, and have helped with photography and FOH for York Mystery Plays 2012, Blood and Chocolate, In Fog and Falling Snow, York Theatre Royal events, etc..
