I'm a bike junkie. Love the things, riding them, building them and owning them. There are normally between 10 - 20 built bikes in my possesion at any one time plus loads of bits.
The quirkier the design the better. Designs with many benefits are forced away from mass production or acceptance for many reasons such as racing legislation in the case of recumbents.
You don't have to accept products mass market availability restricts you to, but you will have to do your homework and educate yourself.
In this vain I am looking to source/make some shorter cranks this year for all types of cycling. Shorter cranks means higher cadence, lower gearing, less weight and is better for your muscles and knees.
