I am currently a junior at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA, concentrating in Photography. While traveling on a study abroad trip I happened upon this interesting subject near where I was staying in the summer of 2009 and I spent roughly two weeks documenting this phenomenon.

My interest in photography sprang up during my senior year of high school and has grown every year since. Much of my interest in photography can be attributed to my high school traditional darkroom teacher, Mr. Eby, to whom I’m very grateful for his willingness and encouragement to help me grow in this art. I’d also like to specifically thank my parents, grandparents, siblings, mentors, and friends for how they have shaped my life and the journeys we have come through together.
