Birds have been part of my life for years... not just to photograph, but to simply enjoy for what they are and to protect. I love being close to them. I have spent many years involved in conservation and it has been a privilege for me to work and cooperate with all the best conservation organisations. Peregrine falcons have been a particular passion and still are.
Black Redstarts have become a particular focus for me. Since 2018 I’ve spent countless hours monitoring and supporting them, helping their small Manchester population grow. In return, they’ve given me moments and photographs I feel lucky to have captured. Developing field skills and understanding behaviour become is key to photography and indeed conservation too, it is a journey that never ends. Mistakes are made and lessons learned. The process is the joy, not the end, because there is no end. We must see birds and wildlife not just as subjects but as our friends.
Thanks for taking the time to look.

One of the very finest British Bird photographers I have seen on flickr. It is always a great pleasure looking forward to seeing Adrians photographs.
