If you haven't noticed by now, most of my photos are of trains. That is because trains are my oldest and longest held interest. My favorite railroad and the railroad that got me into trains was the Chicago and North Western. It was a hard hit to learn all their power was extinct when I got back into railfanning. I was on a rampage till 2009 when CW 6847 was raised back from the dead and given new life at the Illinois Railway Museum.

My interests within railfanning are very unconventional compared to other railfans. While I enjoy CNW history, i never saw anything CNW about repainted UP power beyond the occasional nose gong. So I would get annoyed when people told me they were somehow "still CNW" anyway. Only 6847 really harkens me back to my youth. Gotta have that green spartan cab! No patches either! Blech!
