I'm married to DH, a wonderful hard working man I know. We have two beautiful kids together. SM is 7 and MA is just about a couple of weeks shy of 2 yo (2011).

I've taken pictures but it is not till very recently that I have been very interested in photographing food.

My first love is cooking, being in the kitchen and creating meals for my family and friends. I'm the kind of cook that doesn't like to "measure" when making the food. (Maybe that's the same reason why most of my baking creations were a failure). I come from a long line of 'cooks'. I say cooks and not chef because from my great grandmother to grand mother, they were fabulous cooks to the 'high class' back in the PI.They never went to culinary schools to learn their skills. It was all from experience. I would remember food going out of our house practically every day as they are being picked up or even delivered to wherever they need to go. I for one, in several occasions got to go deliver the catered food to the "village" (later on I learned that that's were all the riches lives). But the house always smelled food...baked food, turkeys, ham...aaahhh...memories. I guess I could say that we were practically raised in our grand mother's kitchen.

Food photography came recently to me but I know it started somehow when I started hanging out with some friends (the MGF) a few years back, they loved to take pictures of every event, everything! So when I would take pictures of the food people had brought (most of our parties are pot luck style), I'd get compliments how it was a good shot. I have to admit, I didn't right away get excited about it until a few years later (hmmm, maybe 2-3 years later?)

So fast forward, here I am now. Taking every opportunity to take pictures of food I have created, or food that were made by friends, store bought, and even DH.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope you comment . I would appreciate a positive feedback to improve my skills.
