I think it was Daphne, from Scooby Doo, who said “What would a ghost from outer-space want with yesterday's newspaper?”… Amanda is seriously talented. She’s also annoyingly self-deprecating. But mostly she’s the talented bit… I can’t remember how I found her stream - or the first photo of hers that I saw - but I would have been as awestruck then as I still am today. She has the rare gift to show and evoke emotion in her portraits, and an absurd ability to capture and compose scenes that constantly makes me jealous. So basically she’s wonderful. She is my favourite urban vigilante contact, and always will be. Oh and she has incredibly pretty eyes too…

Cakeybabes, Amanda, is talented beyond words. She has this style in her photos that makes you believe you are looking at real moment in time. She was one of those flickr-ites who you lurk around but are too nervous to add for their talent is so above and beyond what you thought possible… but it turns out she’s not only a phenomenal photographer and editor, but she’s pretty darn cool. Now that I’ve gotten to “know” her, I can really see where her personality shines through her photographs, self-portraits or not. Amanda, you’re a pretty kool kat.

Cakeybabes' milkshake may not bring all the boys to the yard but it has brought me to yard and I have learned to like what I'm seeing. Plus I get to frolic and play with ladybugs and she makes me Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch. I have nothing but platonic adoration for all of her plutonian abilities.

Amanda is one of the cutest people on Flickr, and her photos are amazing. She is up for anything, a great laugh and goes further than most to make sure that her self portraits aren't just the same shot on a different day.

Amanda is my favorite Canadian export. She has a way with the camera that is disarming and captivating. And she makes me want to squeeze myself into household appliances.
I find myself loving so many of Amanda's portraits...and being completely jealous of them at the same time. She captures a sense of other-era-ness that is elegant, classic, and full of grace. This girl knows how to rock her wardrobe with a style I never grow tired of and continue to dream of emulating.

what can I say about cakeybabes? she's friendly, talented, fashionable, and quirky. Her photos always tell a story, and her self-deprecating humor brightens my visit to flickr everyday! she is elegant and poised, yet she also appreciates sarcasm and weird-o humor--- a great combination!
Cakeybabes is sweet as pie. That may be a mixed metaphor, but I think Amanda would appreciate that. She has a fantastic sense of humour, and I make a point to look at her stream everyday. Amanda inspires me to try new things with my photos, and for that I'm thankful.
