Hi, my name is Beth and I am, like all of us, many things!

As Aneksi Designs I make silver jewellery, and I really enjoy making one off pieces, often for friends with specific requirements, such as 'something with turquoise in it'!

I studied Archaeology at university, with an interest in Egyptology - Aneksi was an Egyptian girl’s name that means 'She belongs to me'. I liked the sound of the name!

I love the process of designing and making jewellery - the drawing of a design or laying out of beads; the sawing and hammering; the playing with fire; the twisting of wire; even the filing (sometimes!); and then the polishing, when the piece that has grown from a seed of an idea finally becomes real.

I am also a freelance museum consultant working in the UK, and a mum of one (little Alice). I also knit, and design my own patterns (you can find me under bethan009 on ravelry). I like to ski and cycle, spend time with my friends and family, take Alice swimming, and (when I get a moment), read.

As well as this, I love to travel and have been to India, South America, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, around Europe loads and New Zealand.
