"What do you do?" is the most common question asked of me in my life, usually as I meet new people. The answer has varied somewhat over time as to what my first response would be. For a long time it was "I am a Space Operations officer in the United States Air Force because most people answer that question with their occupation. But what has never changed about my life is that "I build things".
My educational background could not be anything other than engineering if it was to hold my interest and even then I found myself day dreaming about getting my hands dirty while professors that could not work slip joint pliers droned on and on about solving integrals. I am first and foremost a degree toting mechanical engineer but also recognized by the USAF for civil engineering and electrical engineering. So plenty of schooling and not enough shop work. . . .yet!
I would have loved to attend a proper machinist course but few of those can be found today so I am mostly self taught by picking up a book and investing in a new tool then stepping right up to try my hand at things. I am also an adventurist and adrenalin junkie
