Richard: 61, time flies and I'm 71 now. 5ft 11ins;, stocky build (maybe a little too stocky around the waistline now - but not too much and still fit for my age group), greying and thinning on top (but you know what they say about bald men), full tight beard and moustache, blue/grey eyes, dress sense - suit and tie at day job (now just smart casual at the day job), overalls and hi-viz at play job (no play job now), cords/waxproof/hiking boots for outdoor play: indoor play ? ? ?.

Update 5th July 2014. On that afternoon A Damn Fine Woman and I were in a serious collision on our motorcycle. We were on the main highway, travelling at 60mph when a car driver didn't Give Way emerging from a side road and we T-Boned the car ! ADFW was catapulted over both me and the car, landing on the road several metres beyond but miraculously broke no bones. I suffered a broken pelvis and leg and some mangling of my knee and ankle but we are both alive. The car driver is being prosecuted; I'm learning to walk again after 4 weeks in hospital and 4 months in a wheel chair. ADFW is caring for me and is a superb nurse, I owe her big time !

Update February 2015.

The car driver pleaded guilty to Careless Driving, was fined £200 and given 6 penalty points in his licence. That means that he can do the same again, to another motorcyclist before getting enough points to earn a driving ban. How sick !!! I'm still on crutches and much of the life I had is now as wrecked as the MP3. The only difference is that the MP3 is history but I hope to rise from the ashes and make a new life within the limits defined by my new circumstances !

The Ladies have been incredibly supportive throughout ! They are also coming to an understanding of my now less than rampant libido !! I'm working very hard to make maximum recovery in that area, for all our benefit !!! A Damn Fine Woman is still caring for me superbly, without her I would have found life so very much more difficult. Thank you ADFW, thank you Ladies and thank you all out there in Flickr land for your messages of support.

Update October 2024.

Well it's been a journey. After the crash it took me two years to learn how to walk again. But I wasn't able to work again. That is until recently when I got a part time job teaching maths and I'm loving it because it has given me a new lease of life. It isn't easy and the students are difficult and challenging but I'm loving it. Some of The Ladies are now history but I'm blessed to still have A Damn Fine Woman, Sweet Moist Lips and Pyrkysu still sharing life and love with me.
