My Dad gave me my first SLR camera for my 12th Birthday. Its a Fujica and i still have it, use it & love it. Many of my images here are scans from this camera.
Photography is one of the very few things I do in my life which is just for me.
I turned professional for a few years in my twenties doing portraits, band publicity photograps, and some freelance for local newspapers. It took the pleasure out of it though, so i gave it away and returned to it again a few years later just for fun.
I resisted going digital for quite some time, but then, like many, I was converted; due to its extraudinary capacity to take so many photograps - which one just wouldnt consider doing with film due to financial restraints. My digital camera is a hand me down (that helped too!) and I am looking forward to getting a better one one day when it gets to the top of my priority list for money allocation...
