Hey!

I'm a Mom, a Wife, an Entrepreneur and Me. I was born in 1971! I live on central Vancouver Island in a small city, Courtenay. It's a great place to live and raise a family. Here, there is so much to do that you can ski and golf in the same day! (Not that I do either.) I took up beginners extreme mountain biking in May of 2009 and I love it!!

I have just beaten stage 2 breast cancer and can't wait for my hair to grow back (it's pretty short, but growing) and surgery from having a mastectomy. It feels like 'hurry up and wait!'

I got a new mountain bike in August /09 (a Giant, Reign 2) and I just got back on it last month - I can't seem to get out enough on my bike - I just adore the sport! I also had my new bike painted and it sure didn't turn out the way I wanted! Extreme mountain biking is a rather masculine sport and I really want to look like a girl while out on the trails, so I sent my bike to the painters to be painted bubble gum pink with fuchsia flames. Well... I got what I asked for, but the flames are going from the ground up. I thought the painter was going to make it look like I was creating the flames as I ride! It looks like a cool paint job, until it's noticed that the flames look like they're going the wrong way :(

I love the colour pink now and can't buy enough pink stuff from shoes, clothing, stuff for the house, etc.

Shoes play a huge part in my life right now. I LOVE pointy toed, stilettos!! I don't wear open toed because that would mean my toe nails would always have to look fabulous. Not that I have ugly feet or toes, I just won't put the extra time involved to have them look really purdy! My motto, you ask? Why, it's: Shoes bring peace!

My interests vary from shopping on-line, creating Hair Flair, photography, playing darts and enjoying the company of great friends. I really, really want to play roller derby, but plan on taking that up in spring of 2011. I've already found black roller skates with pink flames on eBay! Also, this winter I want to learn how to play hockey. -Get the impression that I like sports with some 'get up and go?'

I started to make jewelry not too long ago. It started by accident; someone sent me earwires when I ordered bead caps. I really enjoy making jewelry; it is a new found hobby and I don't have to mess with glue, so that's nice. I enjoy playing with colours and textures and have found that I am actually pretty good at it! I have not photographed much of my stuff because I struggle with photography and hope to improve.

I try and take photos as best as I can - but it's going to take a lifetime to master I have discovered.

I love to hang out with my friends - it's one of my favorite things to do! So is having drinks with them, but not to excess. (Well.....maybe sometimes.....)
