I live in the culturally rich province of Soria in northern Spain. The province sits at an average height of 1000 meters (3280 feet) above sea level. It has beautiful landscapes and diverse geography, which act as a backdrop to the largest concentration of medieval castles in Europe. I enjoy the great outdoors, nature, history and the amazing gastronomy and wine of this region. I often go on walks through this part of northern Spain, watching Vultures, eagles and other birds of prey in their natural habitat of the Canyon Rio Lobos and taking photos of timeless medieval villages and their intriguing Romanesque chapels. I live in a small rural village with a population of 40 people, depending on the time of year you come! You are never short of things to do with the, Celt Iberian and Roman sites, Dinosaur footprints and fossils, hiking, climbing, cycling, skiing and traditional Fiestas all at hand.

I moved to Soria, in northern Spain with my wife as we had been looking for the ‘Real Spain’, and now believe we have found it and would like to share it with others through our Blog.
