I'm a t-girl from England. I've been dressing as a girl for as long as I can remember, and I'm not about to stop anytime soon. A boy tries on his sister's pantyhose and look what happens! Nylon is a powerful fabric......

I've never questioned why I dress as a woman, it just feels......right. It seems to be a little unimaginative to dictate what we should wear based on what we have between our legs. When it comes down to it I just know I'd rather look like Marilyn Monroe than James Dean, and I always have. I'm fascinated by women to the extent that I never really invested any time in trying to be a better man. I guess I was powdering my nose when they were dishing out the masculinity gene. My life is confusing. Let's just say being transgendered is....complicated.

I guess the pictures here are a celebration of femininity in its many and varied forms. I don't have a favourite look or era. I like Louise Brooks and Pamela Anderson and all that lies between, and I'm certainly not above embracing every tranny stereotype from french maid to bunnygirl. Dressing up is a big part of our culture and I adore it. GirlyAndie is the female side of me living out my fantasies of being a pin-up girl - in my own small way.....

It's a challenge being both model and photographer, and I'm constantly trying to improve my technique on both sides of the camera. I've become a bit more creative recently in an effort to make my photostream more interesting, but I'm sure a few trusty 'catalogue poses' will continue to sneak in there as well.
