I have always appreciated photography and art.I have never really been able to draw or sketch all that well so I guess I found another way to show my artistic side.

 

2007:

 

[May 07] -Got my first camera in May 2007 just before my european holiday.It was a Samsung NV10[compact point and shoot].Since then i have loved taking pictures and found it to be a great hobby but also a very expensive one!!

 

Since then i have bought a Olympus E-500 twin lens kit which i really like using and i have taken a few really cool pics with it.I also bought a Nikon d40 from a friend which is also a great camera but i have not used it much.

Since i found flickr i realised that it does not matter what camera you have, but rather how you use it.

 

I don't like editing my photo's but if i do i keep it very minimal.If i i do some editing it is usually to make the picture look the way i saw it in real life.

 

2008:

 

[Sep 08] -Been taking photos for over a year now and I have been learning new stuff every day.I really think I have made a very big improvement since I first started.

 

[Oct 20] - Won my first photography competition.Yay

 

[Nov 04] - Done my second safari trip and loved it.Got some really great shots from the trip.

 

2009

 

[Mar 15] - Upgraded to a D200,which i am really liking at the moment with my 50mm.

 

[May 29] - Just picked up a Nikon 60mm 2.8 micro and a Tamron 19-35mm for R450

 

[June 28] - 1000 views on my stream :)

 

[Aug 20] - Got my first 35mm film camera.
