I am very new to digital photography albeit no novice to photography. I recently boarded the digital bandwagon through purchasing a DSLR and a couple of lenses.

I am a physician by training and have had no formal schooling in photography. I continue to learn from other members here at flickr and an assortment of magazines, books and blogs.

I aspire to leave comments for everyone that leave me a comment allbeit it's not always possible. If I add someone it's because I really admire that person's work and would like to see their latest work on my updates page.

I find portraits to be a particularly challenging genre because controlling the light is what its all about. At present, I am trying to learn the strobist 's ways through purchasing a few speed lights. I will consider acquiring some modifiers as I learn more tricks of the trade.
