I am a stay at home mom/wife and I love the beauty of nature and being in the great outdoors no matter what the season. I enjoy taking photos and am always amazed at the outcome of my shots........ some beautiful and some not so great (that I thought would turn out great!!). I also have fun playing around with Adobe Photoshop and adding some zip or interestingness (is that a word?) to my pictures. We have a variety of cameras around the house but the ones I generally use, which are mine, are a Canon Sureshot point and shoot and my recent purchase from my daughter, a Fujifilm FinePix S700.

In 2010 I managed to save enough money to buy myself a Canon Powershot SX1 IS. I have had a lot of fun using this digital camera but someday hope to get myself an SLR. The SX1 IS does some amazing things and is great for taking macro shots. Also has a lot of settings such as "beach", "night shooting", "sunset", and "foliage" to name a few. One feature I really like is "color select". So a little step up from the Fuji but one day............

One day has come!!! I was able to use my Aeroplan points and get a Canon EOS Rebel T1i (DSLR). I'm loving learning new tricks with this camera but I'm afraid I am a slow learner! It does an amazing job. I have the standard lens (18-55mm) that comes with the camera as well as the telephoto (75-300mm) . I love taking macro photos so I hope that one day I can get a macro lens too.
