I have worked in video production for nearly 20 years now. But my first love was cars and photography. I loved car magazines that had the best photos of beautiful cars.

I am also a musician (drums), and I love live performance shots. I have some musician friends that play in clubs around town. I like to go out and shoot them for promotions their MySpace pages. As a result, I'm becoming more interested in shooting people (with a camera).

I bought a Canon PowerShot S5 IS because of it's 1600 ISO capability and it's vari-angle viewfinder. Great for dark nightclub shots. It also has a hot-shoe for an external flash, or flash system;-) I think it's the best camera for it's price range. I know for a couple hundred bucks more I could have gone Digital SLR, but I was already over budget. Someday I'll take the plunge.
