Art means everything, but not everything is worthy of being considered as art.
Art is an invitation to a world of conflicting ideas, a raw presentation of countless perceptions different from yours. Step out of your mind’s eye for once…and everything else becomes so much clearer.
In my world, time never ends. Things change rapidly and in the past, I have always thought that these changes are unfolding in a logical manner. But it seems that I was wrong. I’m rather pessimistic about the future of the human race. I try not to move to the extremes; try to stay in the moderate. Someone told me that sitting on the fence is not good. I agree it can be confusing, but it is also the best place where you get to fathom the logics behind both sides.
As I try to fit myself into the way the world functions, it becomes more and more meaningless. Millay said “It's not true that life is one damn thing after another; it's one damn thing over and over”. So what is life? What’s the meaning of life? It’s up to how you perceive it. To me, the answer will only be unveiled after we depart from this world. I bury myself in the world of music. Music transforms my life in many different ways. Music from live concerts is a liberation for me, a liberation from obligations and rules and for these few hours, I can truly be myself. The sights, sounds and colours of everything surrounding me, especially in a foreign land, never fail to fascinate me, offering me an interesting insight into life itself. On the bus, train or just standing still, I have become an observant creature, sensing and understanding things from underneath the surface. I hate to feel restricted. My art teacher had commented more than once on my artworks saying that there are too many colours. Three colours would be enough she said. I love colourful things and I believe life should be very colourful. I hate procrastination. A day without coffee would be hell. I love poetry, blueberries, walking and also a little craziness at times. I would also love to have a time-machine for my birthday. I think we should spend some time listening to others as well as our own hearts and recognising our own needs. Although a photograph might seem insignificant in this information-overloaded world, but at least we know how much that one photograph means to us.
