Picked up photography as a hobby several years ago when I retired. My only goal was to take photos with a bit more thought than the crap snapshots I used to take with my old film camera.

There is no art here, no pretentious BS. With 140 years of film photography and 2.5 million photos uploaded to Flickr every day, we are all standing on the shoulders of the photographers who came before us. I just shoot whatever interests me. I might shoot 1,000 photos one week and then not pick up a camera for a month. Like everything else in life it's a work in progress.
