My cure for post-retirement boredom, was Site Manager of a "Circle-K" convenience store at 47th Ave and Bethany Home Road, Glendale, AZ for nearly 3 years. Only 8 armed robberies, car crashing into center of store, watched an ICE federal vehicle stop from my window with officers wearing ski masks and guns drawn on youths from a sedan, building graffitti, drug para on property and floor of store, regular beer runs and theft ... I quit to save my skin!

I volunteer at Surprise Police Department Citizens patrol driving solo in a regular marked patrol car equipped with lights, radio, and computer to be the "eyes and ears" for the SPD and issue parking citations.

I also volunteer as "BSA Troop 365 as Adult Training Coordinator" with the BSA Grand Canyon Council of Arizona.
