I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1996 and live in Calgary, Alberta.

I have always enjoyed outdoor pursuits and my wife and I enjoy hiking and camping. With the Rockies on my doorstep it was not difficult to fall in love with the scenery and establish a new hobby, photography.

My first passion was golf, achieving a high standard at amateur status. For over 36 years my focus was on fitness and martial arts, particularly the traditional art of Muay Thai. I achieved the level of Assistant Master in my sport and was the National Representative for both Scotland and Canada. Over the past five or six years I have concentrated on photography as my hobby of choice, striving to improve my skills and techniques.

The type of photography that I enjoy, is Landscape and Wildlife. I attempt to capture the views, as I see them, at that moment in time. I travel to the mountains as much as I can, in all weather conditions to enjoy the scenery and hopefully catch the wildlife. I find that photography has a great way of slowing you down, to appreciate what nature has put around you.

I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs as much as I have enjoyed shooting them.

Thank You
