Interest in photography has come late in life for me. I got tired of taking family gathering photos with inadequate equipment only to be disappointed in the results. I stepped up to the DSLR level with my Nikon D40, 18-55 and 55-200 lenses, tripod and wireless remote. Being an engineer and generally anal about everything pushes me to learn more about digital technique and camera settings. I am amazed at how many excellent shots are posted at flickr and they influence me to keep shooting and learning. Born in Oregon, my wife and I reside in the Indianapolis area of Fishers.
