40 Yr old Male Amateur.

Focus primarily upon Birds of the Fliders Ranges in South Australia but I will " shoot " almost anything.

Been shooting with Digital for almost 12 months. Proud owner of two Pentax K-10-Ds one of which is the " Grand Prix " Anniversary model :-))

I use only Manual Lense, favouring the Tamron SP range of Glass. I also own the Russian Built MTO 1000mm Mirror Lens as well as its smaller brother the MTO 500mm Mirrior Lens Both of which I am very fond of. . I have had the honour and pleasure of meeting some Fine people here and hope to contribute more as time goes on.

Recent upgrade to the Nikon D-2 X as well as the Tamron SP 200-500mm Lens and some smaller Nikor glass 70-300, 35-80mm, 28-70mm. I have kept and still use the Pentax as well As I love it too much to trade it.

I have known Charlie from the time he first started posting on flickr. He and his wife Vic are both wonderful people and love to take photos of the outdoors. Charlie has a wonderful collection of bird photos from the Gorge area which is near his home in Australia. Charlie is a true nature lover and a lover of manual focus lens as well as big telephoto lens such as the MTO 500 and 1000 Mirror lens. It is because of his photos that I now own a 500 and have learned to use it. This is not an easy lens to photograph with but with Charlie's encouragement to hang in with it and his photos to show me that it can be a wonderful experience I feel I have not only made a couple of wonderful friends but have had a new world of mirror lens opened to me. Look at the photos in Charlies collection and read his comments as to how he took the photos and you too will become a true lover of nature and the Mirrored lens that can be a world of fun in this field we call photography. Thanks for being such a wonderful photographer and friend Charlie and Vic.
