I am an artist based in Dublin, who paints primarily in oils. My work is inspired by the current feeling in Ireland and by mindset of Irish citizens. It from the perspective of a strong woman into the nature of male feelings, frustrations and male beauty as an iconic element in Irish society. I generally gravitate towards a strong palette of colours and do not hesitate to reflect the reality- as I see it. Man, recession and rugby- that is what is reflected in my paintings as a viewpoint of current Irish society

Joanna is an artist that at first glance her work challenges your percceptions, not complying with the easy trends in art she has chosen to cut her own route of a blended cubism with classical use of light and shadow to produce oils that are wonderfully challenging ot digest.
