Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile!

I live quite close to Manchester, on the edge of the Peak District; and try to use my spare time heading to the east or west coast (living in the thin bit of England can be handy!) to do my photography.

I'm also quite into shooting horses (oops, I meant with a lens!), particularly in action hence the jousting, but I don't ride or own one myself - haven't the time or money.

My current kit is:

A Canon EOS-50D body

A Canon EOS-20D body

Lenses

Sigma EX 10-20mm F4.5

Sigma EX 18-50mm F2.8

Sigma EX 105mm Tele-macro F2.8

Sigma EX 70-200mm F2.8 (with 2x adapter)

Canon 55-250mm IS F4.5

A GorillaPod

A monopod

and finally a Benbo Trekker (angry octopus) tripod.

Then there's the various bits like filters and polarisers, a flashgun and a Zigview which I really ought to learn how to use!

I'm always looking for new techniques and tips to better my photography, and I've certainly improved since I joined Flickr - I'm having to, most of you out there are taking shots that completely blow my mind!
